1. Washington Wizards: LaMelo Ball, G, Illawarra

With the No. 1 overall pick, the Wizards could go a number of ways here. However, in the end, the Wizards will select who they believe is the best player on the board and one who could develop into a potential franchise player. That prospect happens to be LaMelo Ball, the 6-foot-8 guard out of the NBL.

Ball is the prospect that many believe has the best star potential and is a player that the Wizards can pair alongside Bradley Beal. Washington doesn’t know what they’re going to get from John Wall this upcoming season, so it would make sense for them to make a move at the draft that could potentially add insurance to the team if Wall struggles after his recovery from the Achilles injury.

Plus, who wouldn’t want to see three-guard lineups that feature Wall, Beal, and Ball? That’s some must-see basketball. On the other hand, they could also make a big trade if they wanted. They could try to dump Wall or Beal in an attempt to jumpstart the team’s rebuild.

The Wizards have plenty of options, thanks to winning the NBA Draft Lottery.
