5. Golden State Warriors: Obi Toppin, F, Dayton

The Warriors have constantly banked on being one of the most versatile franchises in the NBA in recent history. We’ve seen that many times over the course of the last few seasons in which resulted in two NBA Championships. For the Warriors, Obi Toppin fits the mold. This pick might look like a reach, but the Warriors are going to select who they believe in.

Toppin is everything you look for in a wing prospect. He can score, rebound, defend, and is even developing a 3-point shot that will help stretch defenses. Being drafted by the Warriors, that skill will only continue to develop. Toppin is coming off a season in which he averaged 20 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and one block on 63 percent shooting from the field and 39 percent shooting from 3-point range.

Toppin will fit right into what the Warriors like to do and could help with the eventual departure of Draymond Green (when the time comes to move on). Toppin can play of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson and will thrive in whatever role he’s given during his rookie season.
