6. Cleveland Cavaliers: Isaac Okoro, F, Auburn
With Collin Sexton and Darius Garland in the fold, and assuming that the team is going to keep Andre Drummond moving forward, the Cleveland Cavaliers would do well by selecting a wing player that could help solidify this team’s young core. That’s why Isaac Okoro fits on the team at No. 6.
Many believe that Okoro is the best defender in the draft which would help the Cavs solidify their perimeter defense. Okoro still has much to prove on the offensive end, especially when it comes to his 3-point shote (29% during his freshman season). However, as is often the case, Okoro’s offense will come with development.
The Cavaliers have an interesting offseason ahead of them and could look to add even more to their draft class by trading Kevin Love. Perhaps they could even move up in the draft if they coupled the No. 6 pick and Love. However, that’s a different conversation for another day.
Cavs get great value with Isaac Okoro at No. 6.
