Michael Jordan is worried that he’ll be viewed as a bad guy after the release of ESPN’s ‘The Last Dance’ documentary.

As we inch closer and closer to the release of the first two parts (of a 10-part series) of ESPN’s ‘The Last Dance’ documentary that will focus on Michael Jordan and the 1997-98 Chicago Bulls, there are many warranted questions about what will be included.

Which players and former coaches will be involved in one form or fashion? How much Jordan content vs. other Bulls-related content will we actually get? What revelations will be unearthed?

The intrigue is warranted and is part of why the documentary will be successful. Even though Michael Jordan is almost unanimously thought of as the greatest basketball player of all-time, there is still a certain level of uncertainty and, in some ways, the mystery surrounding him – especially for those that didn’t have the luxury of watching him growing up.

More from Sir Charles In Charge

Hopefully, we’ll get a bit more of the person that Jordan was at this point in his career and an inside look at the method behind his madness. In that aspect, it kind of has Jordan concerned. Interestingly, according to The Athletic (subscription required), he says he’s concerned that he will come out looking like a horrible guy in the documentary.

While that’s an interesting revelation in it itself, I for one can’t wait to see what’s included in this documentary that will leave many watching feeling as if Jordan is a horrible person.

Jordan was known as a no-nonsense competitor, we know that. There are also numerous stories that back that up. However, this documentary has to be over-the-top with that type of content.

I’m sure we’re going to hear some stories and see some never-before-seen footage that is going to absolutely hammer this point home.

‘The Last Dance’ documentary will premiere Sunday, April 19 at 9:00 p.m. ET on ESPN. The first two parts will also be released on Netflix the next day, for those that live outside the United States for those without access to ESPN.
