3. Phil Jackson

Phil Jackson is almost universally regarded as the greatest coach of all-time having won 11 championships including six with Michael Jordan and five with the player most comparable to Michael, Kobe Bryant. The most comparable factor between Jordan and Kobe was their legendary competitiveness.

Somehow Phil was the only person who was able to have both of these incredibly single-minded individuals listen to him and learn from him about the power of teamwork and inner self-work through mediation.

Jackson is often known as the Zen Master and has written many books on his philosophies and unique coaching style, including getting players to meditate, while also comparing and discussing his relationships with Jordan and Kobe in his many books and interviews. Jackson will be interviewed in the documentary and featured in all his glory and unique coaching techniques with his presence in the majority of 1998 footage which the documentary is based upon.

The fact that Jordan would only play for Jackson and Jackson knew this would be his last year with the Bulls will make for extremely compelling interviews on Jackson’s end.
