1. Michael Jordan, Chicago Bulls
Come on…did you really expect anyone else? Yes, the Chicago Bulls were a team featuring Steve Kerr who would go on to great success with the Warriors, Scottie Pippen, who was the Robin to Jordan’s Batman, and Dennis Rodman, who was an enigmatic cultural figure in his own right for very different reasons.
However, ‘The Last Dance,’ is referring to Michael Jordan’s last season with the Chicago Bulls as this dynasty always has been and always will be Jordan’s, no matter how important the team is.
Jordan is a very silent public figure who has mostly kept his face out of the media even with his billion-dollar global brand (he’s the first athlete to be worth over a billion dollars and that’s not even his most impressive feat) featuring his iconic, “Jumpman,” silhouette and is the owner of the Charlotte Hornets, which will make it incredible to hear him speak in a full docuseries.
The stories are incredible and the documentary featuring hours of never-before-seen footage will be captivating, but hearing the man many call the GOAT reflect on such unprecedented access to such a private character will be an experience for the ages that deserve all the hype it is currently receiving as in a way…sports are back.
