5. Draymond Green, 2012, 35th overall

Draymond Green quickly became one of the most diverse players in the NBA. During his prime, Draymond was able to defend any position on the floor and kept defenses honest with his offensive abilities. Even though he was never considered a “great” offensive player, he was never a negative player on that end of the floor.

Green is still young but is no longer the player that he once was, that’s clear. Still, Green is a valuable player for the Warriors. He’s part of this team’s original core, which includes both Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, and hasn’t likely seen the end of his run.

Green went from being just a “guy” during the first two years of his career to being a key cog to the reason why the Warriors helped transform the NBA into what has become a norm. Green will forever be associated with the evolution of the NBA and the integration of positionless basketball.
