Scottie Pippen was massively underpaid and undervalued

Scottie Pippen, who many point to as one of the best No. 2 players in NBA history, was the second-most important part of the Chicago Bulls dynasty in the 1990s. The fact that he was underpaid during the entire Bulls run is absolutely terrible to hear. Especially considering the way the NBA works nowadays in that respect.

However, not only was Pippen underpaid but he was also, in many ways, undervalued by management. In the documentary, Jordan calls Pippen his best and favorite teammate. For Jordan to say that you know he meant a lot to him.

The fact that the Bulls knew (you’d think) that Pippen meant that much to Jordan and didn’t compensate him and treat him as he should’ve been makes even less sense. There were so many miscalculations throughout this dynasty that you can’t help but think “what if” at times when watching ‘The Last Dance.’
