Jrue Holiday, New Orleans Pelicans
It’s no surprise to see Jrue Holiday on this list. There’s a very real chance that the New Orleans Pelicans elect to move on from their star guard this summer considering he has one year remaining on his contract before he can hit free agency and that the team will likely be re-signing Brandon Ingram to a max contract.
Plus, with the emergence of Zion Williamson, it gives the Pelicans a bit more leeway as they attempt to build the team around their dominating frontcourt. For the Knicks, adding a player like Holiday makes a ton of sense.
Holiday is a player that can play the point guard position and could easily be an asset in the backcourt next to RJ Barrett. Even if the Knicks add a point guard in the draft, Holiday would give this team unbelievable depth in the backcourt and could even roll out three-guard lineups considering Holiday is one of the better defenders in the league.
