While many basketball fans are still holding out hope that the NBA will resume and complete the 2019-20 season, there’s certain doubt that continues to grow around that idea. Even if the season does return, it will almost definitely bypass the final 20, or so, games of the regular season and jump to the playoffs.

That means, even though the league is currently in a hiatus, there’s a great chance that the 2019-20 NBA regular season is officially in the book. With that assumption in mind, there are a few conclusions that can be drawn from the season that was.

Perhaps we might not be able to point to award winners or champions just yet, there are certain players that managed to play above and beyond what was expected from them – by both the team and its fans – during the 2019-20 campaign.
