Luka Doncic, Dallas Mavericks

After a sensational rookie season, in which he took home NBA Rookie of the Year honors, I’m not sure many could’ve expected the sophomore season that we’ve gotten from Luka Doncic. Nevertheless, he was the heart and soul of a resurgence from the Dallas Mavericks. Entering the hiatus, the Mavs were only four games off the pace of the third seed in the West.

Individually, Doncic was averaging 29 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists per game on 46 percent shooting from the field and 32 percent shooting from 3-point range. He also had a 27.7 Player Efficiency Rating. Considering it all, the fact that he’s only 21 years old is absolutely insane.

The scary part about it all is that he’s just getting started. The sky is the limit for Doncic and I can’t even comprehend the type of player he might be as a finished product. The Mavs are in great hands, and Doncic is bound to be a champion sooner rather than later.

Luka Doncic is a superstar. If there were any doubts after his rookie season, there shouldn’t be now.
