3. Chicago Bulls – Killian Hayes, G, France

Killian Hayes is a guard that can play both the 1 and 2, and could theoretically be the long-term answer for the team at the point guard position. At just 19 years (when the 2020-21 season starts), Hayes will be somewhat of a development prospect. That’s why the Chicago Bulls would be a solid landing spot for him.

Chicago isn’t in a position where they’ll be competing anytime soon and Hayes can continue to grow with this team’s young core. Hayes averaged (PER 36) 17 points, eight assists, and four rebounds per game this past season in the EuroCup.

Hayes will be somewhat of a risk for the Bulls, but at this point in the NBA Draft, he’d be of good value. Right now, the Bulls should be focusing on acquiring talent. Taking Hayes at No. 3 would be exactly that as the team continues to build.

The next step is winning, but that’s still likely a year or two down the road. And that’s perfectly fine.
