NBA Mock Draft 3.0: New York Knicks earn top pick; James Wiseman drops

6. Minnesota Timberwolves – James Wiseman, C, Memphis

Being able to draft James Wiseman at No. 6, the Minnesota Timberwolves would be absolutely ecstatic. Wiseman is probably best next to another big man and what better big to play with than Karl-Anthony Towns. Wiseman’s offense is still much of an unknown that that’s probably the biggest reason why he might fall out of the top 5.

Depending on whether or not he can prove to be a much-improved offensive player, I’m not sure what he’ll projection will be at the NBA level. Though he could take some of the defensive pressure off KAT, and KAT could take some of the offensive pressure off Wiseman.

This combination could end up being perfect for the Wolves, who could have one of the most dominant frontcourts in a few years.
