6. Luka Doncic, Dallas Mavericks
Luka Doncic has enjoyed a phenomenal start to his NBA career, winning Rookie of the Year last season and being named to his first All-Star game this year. The former EuroLeague star has rejuvenated the Dallas Mavericks, averaging 28.7 points and 8.7 dimes per contest.
He’s sixth in the league in scoring and fourth in assists, a testament to just how special of an offensive player Doncic really is. For his size, he’s an incredible athlete, possessing the handles and court vision that are rare to see in a 6-foot-7 point guard. The 21-year-old is a very bright player for his age and has an extremely promising future ahead of him.
Doncic is a very unpredictable player for oppositions to guard because of his ability to drive and finish, drain a jumper, or find a cutting teammate with a crafty pass. He has absolutely picked apart NBA teams this season thanks to his versatile skillset. With Kristaps Porzingis and Doncic leading the way in Dallas, they’re well on their way to being a playoff team again.
