Three moves that would help the New York Knicks make a return to the playoffs in 2020-21
Including the 2019-20 NBA season, the New York Knicks were on pace to miss the playoffs for the seventh-straight season. After another fired head coach and no clear franchise player on the roster (depending on what you think of RJ Barrett), the Knicks will be entering the offseason with more questions than answers.
Though, the road back to the playoffs in the Eastern Conference may not be as far off as you’d think for the Knicks. With at least a couple of promising players on the roster, and the opportunity to make a move or two during the offseason, there is a path to the playoffs for the Knicks in 2020-21.
Even though it’s unlikely that New York will be able to achieve championship status in the next year or two (with the exception of acquiring a player like Giannis Antetokounmpo), the Knicks could begin to make the trek back to relevancy in the East.
