Golden State Warriors

Biggest need: A player who can help them win now, regardless of position

Players to target:  Onyeka Okongwu, Deni Avdija, Tyrese Haliburton

The Warriors are in a unique situation. They have a roster talented enough to finish in the top half of the Western Conference, but due to injuries find themselves with the best odds to win the lottery.

What they’d do with a top pick really depends on what they think of this class. If they, like most people, view this class as not having a sure thing at the top, then I see this as a good opportunity to move back and get some pieces that can help them win now.

The possibility of the Warriors competing for a championship with this group is on life support, and players like LaMelo Ball and Anthony Edwards, while having the most upside in this class, would struggle to find a role on a team gunning for one last championship. And their last experiment with a guard who’s ball-dominant and a work in progress on defense didn’t exactly pan out. (*cough* D’Angelo Russell *cough*).
