Minnesota Timberwolves

Biggest need: Best two-way player available

Players to target: Onyeka Okongwu, Isaac Okoro, Devin Vassell

Most of the teams at the top of a draft are searching for a go-to scorer, but the Russell/Towns combination should provide plenty of scoring opportunities. The Minnesota Timberwolves need someone, anyone, who can get a stop consistently.

If the Wolves find themselves near the top of the draft, similar to the Warriors, I think they’d be smart to entertain moving back a few picks and allow teams searching for scoring to come up to their spot. If the Wolves can get an asset back and move down lower in the top 10 to pick up a strong defensive option, that would be a big win for them.

It will all depend on how the lotto balls bounce, but if the Wolves land one of the top few picks they should be open for business.
