Golden State Warriors key No. 1: Banking on the acquisitions

While this season has been mostly a wash for the Warriors there are two players who stand out as players who could help the Warriors get back to the top, those players being Marquese Chriss and Andrew Wiggins.

Chriss was the eighth pick in the draft in 2016 and was looking like a bust until he landed with Golden State. With the Warriors, it appears Chriss has found the perfect role and gives the Warriors something to build on. After playing power forward for the majority of his career to this point, the Warriors have found great usage for him as a rim-running, smaller center.

Wiggins on the other hand was a former No. 1 pick who can score in bunches but just needs to improve on efficiency and defense. Golden State can be the perfect place for him to do that. He doesn’t need to be the No. 1 pick he just needs to be a plus-version of Harrison Barnes.

If these two players can mesh with Curry, Thompson, and Green then the Warriors will go back to having one of the most dangerous starting lineups in the league.
