Philadelphia 76ers potential trade partner No. 3: San Antonio Spurs

Yes, I know the San Antonio Spurs are pretty full of guards right now with younger players like Dejounte Murray, Lonnie Walker IV, Bryn Forbes, and also veterans like Patty Mills, but I think Vasilije Micic could still be a valuable piece for R.C. Buford to take a chance on.

First off, it is widely known how well the Spurs do with European talent. With that in mind, I think Micic would be a great fit culturally for this team, which means they could get him to come over if they acquired him. As far as with play style Micic can again benefit from the Spurs influence of offensive strategy, and their use of pick-and-rolls.

Micic would also be able to play a lot of minutes with the trust of Gregg Popovich, potentially filing the hole that would be on the team if Bryn Forbes leaves. With a team in a bit of flux and other potential veteran departures too Micic would be a thrifty find for the Spurs due to his ability to play both on-and-off ball as well as space the floor.
