Con No. 2 to picking up NBA season at Disney World: No homecourt advantages

At the same rate, all NBA teams being in the same bubble means no homecourt advantage. Even though the league is reportedly discussing how it could reward teams for finishing the regular season with a better record than its opponent, there’s really nothing that has been discussed that can come close to real homecourt advantage.

That could leave the door open for some real upsets. That will also bring about the whole college-atmosphere. Like the NCAA Tournament, without homecourt advantage, anything can happen on any given day.

The hope is that the best team still wins out, and that is generally the case in a seven-game series, but there will be a real chance that we will see an NBA Playoffs like never before. In part because there will be no real homecourt advantages when the NBA resumes in July.
