10. Phoenix Suns –  Cole Anthony, PG, North Carolina

There are a number of ways that the Phoenix Suns could go at No. 10, but I believe they could end up going with the big splash at point guard rather than taking a bit of a safer pick. That leaves Cole Anthony, out of North Carolina, as the prime target for the Suns at No. 10.

With this pick, the Suns would be selecting a prospect that has almost too much boom-or-bust feel. Nevertheless, if Anthony is a player that blossoms, he will be a really good player for a really long time in the NBA. Anthony has it all – he has great vision, is somewhat of a streaky shooter, and has all the intangibles of a potential star.

In the right system, he could really blossom. And playing next to a scorer as dynamic as Devin Booker, well that will probably make life a lot easier for Anthony in the NBA. Who knows what the Suns would exactly be getting at No. 10 with this pick initially, but make no mistake this is a selection that could potentially pay dividends for this team 2-3 years down the line.

That might bot be what Suns fans want to hear, but that’s simply the case when selecting at this point in the lottery.
