14. Portland Trail Blazers – Aaron Nesmith, SF, Vanderbilt

During the 14 games that he played this past season with Vanderbilt, Aaron Nesmith was one of the best offensive players in the country. After averaging 23 points and five rebounds per game on 51 percent shooting from the field and 52 percent shooting from 3-point range, Nesmith is an interesting prospect in the 2020 draft class.

He’s also a player that could be of interest to the Portland Trail Blazers, who have to take a good look at themselves after a season in which they will probably miss the playoffs. Nesmith is a player that could emerge as a 3-point specialist for the team and would fit in nicely with Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum.

Nesmith might be the best shooter to come out of this draft and could eventually develop into a Klay Thompson-type in the right system. That’s a tall task for any prospect, but Nesmith has that type of offensive potential.
