16. Minnesota Timberwolves (via Brooklyn) – Jaden McDaniels, SF/PF, Washington

As one of the prospects that are considered too “raw” to be selected in the lottery, I have a sense that Jaden McDaniels is only going to soar up draft boards as we inch closer and closer to draft day. After taking James Wiseman with their first pick, the Wolves could add another high ceiling player like McDaniels at No. 16.

McDaniels was mightily inconsistent during his freshman season at Washington, and that’s probably the biggest reason why he won’t be taken in the top 12 picks (subject to change). However, he flashed his potential on occasion this past season. That might be enough to tempt a team to take a shot on him.

McDaniels averaged 13 points and six rebounds per game on 41 percent shooting from the field and 34 percent shooting from 3-point range. McDaniels is considered a bit of a project but could end up being a sleeper outside the lottery.
