22. Philadelphia 76ers (via Oklahoma City) – Josh Green, SG, Arizona
Josh Green projects to be a good defensive player, a versatile one too thanks to his 6-foot-6 frame and athleticism. However, there are questions about his ability to be anything more than a potential 3-and-D threat. For a guard, though, he has plenty of skills that draft scouts are looking for.
During his freshman season at Arizona, Green averaged 12 points, five rebounds, and three assists on 42 percent shooting from the field and 36 percent from 3-point range. Green is still growing as a player and needs to be in a safe, developing environment when he makes the jump to the NBA.
The Sixers could be a good fit. On one hand, he won’t be asked to do much when he makes the move to the league. He’ll also get to learn behind some of the best players in the game. Defensively, he could also contribute in spots.
Plus, his shooting will be an added asset to the team.
