7. Chicago Bulls – Devin Vassell, SF, Florida State

It’s easy to question this selection at No. 7 for the Chicago Bulls, but the more I watch Devin Vassell the more I believe that his stock will continue to rise in the months and weeks ahead of the 2020 NBA Draft. Almost the first thing that pops out to me is his size and length, that many NBA teams will covet.

Vassell has the tools to be a versatile defensive player at the next level almost initially. He also shot 42 percent from 3-point range and 49 percent from the field overall during his sophomore season at Florida State. There’s plenty to like about his efficiency and shot selection too.

Vassell still needs to grow into his frame and fill up a bit to truly be an impactful player at the enxt level but the talent is clearly there. It’ll be important for Vassell to fall into a player where he can contribute in portion and develop at the same time.

I’m not sure if the Bulls are that ideal landing spot, but they’re taking the big swing here at No. 7 on potential.
