9. Washington Wizards – Onyeka Okongwu, PF/C, USC

With the expectation that the Washington Wizards aren’t going to do anything fishy during the offseason (you know, assuming they’re not going to trade John Wall or Bradley Beal), I expect the Wizards to target frontcourt players with their projected top 10 pick. With the way the board has fallen here, Onyeka Okongwu would be a solid selection.

One of the most athletic bigs in this draft, Okongwu comes with plenty of talent an upside. He might have the highest ceiling in the draft and also comes with almost similar mystery. He has all the tools to be successful at the next level and even showed glimpses of that during his lone freshman season at USC.

Due to his great length, Okongwu will be an impact rebounder from day one and a presence in the paint as a great finisher above and around the basketball. If the Wizards are looking to make another solid selection, they should look no further than Okongwu at No. 9.
