Are the Sacramento Kings setting themselves up for failure?

The Sacramento Kings have the longest playoff drought in the NBA and feature one of the most under-achieving front offices in the NBA. Luke Walton is still an unproven coach in the NBA and while there are a few bright spots on the roster overall, this is a team that is very much in flux.

De’Aaron Fox is one of the most intriguing youngsters in the NBA. He is blazing fast, improving every day, and has a look of a surefire future all-star. In addition to Fox, players like Marvin Bagley III, Richaun Holmes, Buddy Hield, Bogdan Bogdanovic, and Harry Giles III all have varying degrees of potential.

The problem with Sacramento is that they’ve failed to surround their young talent with the veteran talent to propel them to the next level. The million-dollar question for the Kings is, how exactly can they turn it around with their core?
