Saving the Sacramento Kings, step 3: Nail the 2020 draft

Even though the 2020 NBA Draft isn’t being billed up as a deep draft, the Sacramento Kings need to find the hidden gems that will pay dividends in the future. Nailing the draft will be imperative for a team that is looking to take the next step as a franchise.

Projected with a pick outside the top 10, the Kings aren’t in an ideal spot. However, there are players that could come in and contribute to the team. Perhaps they could even move down in the draft (if they’re not sold on any one player) to add assets in an attempt to continue to build out their roster.

The Boston Celtics, who have three first-round draft picks alone, could be a trade-down candidate if the Kings are serious about it.

Despite all that, what it all comes down to is ensuring that the Kings are following the most important fourth step.
