NBA hidden gem: Romeo Langford, Boston Celtics
Romeo Langford was the 14th pick in this past draft. He hasn’t played much in Boston this season but he can project as a top rotation guard to even an average starting shooting guard in the league.
A top recruit out of high-school, Langford under-performed in his lone season at Indiana, but injuries played a role. So far for the Celtics, he has shown excellent defensive upside as a defensive stopper. The offense, particularly his shooting needs work but there’s a lot of potential if he lands with the right team.
NBA hidden gem: Tremont Water, Boston Celtics
Recently named as this 2019-20 G League Player of the Year, rookie Tremont Waters flashed some serious floor-general potential. In the G League, Waters averaged 18 points, 7.3 assists, and 1.9 steals per game all while shooting 36 percent from deep.
While Waters only stands at 5-foot-11, he can be excellent floor general off the bench for any team. A player that can run an offense and shoot it from deep will never go out of style in the NBA.
