NBA hidden gem: Nicolas Claxton, Brooklyn Nets
On the Brooklyn Nets, first-year forward Nicolas Claxton has a lot of potential upside to be a great rotation player. He was projected as a draft sleeper for the past draft, and for good reason.
During his final season at Georgia, before entering the NBA Draft, Claxton averaged 13 points per game to go with 8.6 rebounds, and two assists per contest. He looked to be an excellent rotation forward who could play a role as Al Horford did in Boston.
He didn’t play much this season but he had two games in January against the Bucks and 76ers where he flashed real potential. He would be an intriguing target as the Nets try to add the final piece to their Kyrie Irving-Kevin Durant duo.
