NBA hidden gem: Amir Coffey, LA Clippers

Amir Coffey is an interesting prospect and player. He posses the abilities of a guard but has the size of forward at 6-foot-7. Another first-year player coming out of Minnesota, Coffey is an intriguing player with talent and promise.

Coffey is a strong player in the pick-and-roll facilitator, showed great potential as a corner-3 threat, and an excellent ability to be a strong member of a defensive scheme. All those tools are valuable in the modern NBA, Coffey just needs to tighten those skills.

With two of the best wings in the game currently on the LA Clippers roster (Kawhi Leonard and Paul George) the Clippers may see Coffey as expendable to upgrade their current roster. But there’s no question he’s an interesting future rotation player in the NBA.
