NBA hidden gem: Anfernee Simons, Portland Trail Blazers

The Portland Trail Blazers‘ first-round pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, the young Anfernee Simons was projected to be the x-factor for this year’s Blazers team as the third guard. So far Simons has underwhelmed.

Don’t let his performance this year stick with you, Simons was a steal for the Blazers. If Simons played college basketball rather than prep academy, he could’ve been a lottery pick. At 6-foot-4, Simons projects still to be an incredible combo-guard.

With an incredible quickness, and excellent wingspan what Simons needs is more consistent reps on a team where he can run free. He would be an excellent target for teams looking to sell win-now contributors to the Blazers.
