NBA hidden gem: Nassir Little, Portland Trail Blazers
From last year’s first-round pick to this year’s, Nassir Little could also be an absolute steal. The 6-foot-5 wing was projected to be a potential top 10 pick, but inconsistency during his lone season at UNC dropped him to the 25th pick.
Little’s 3-point shot has been broken so far in his career, but we’ve seen many times that shooting can be a developed talent. What Little has shown though is strong defensive potential. He projects very strongly as a switchable defender which is something all NBA teams in today’s game value at a high level.
With some work, Little can be a valued contributor to a team and even grow to be a 3-and-D wing. With the Blazers looking to win a championship at some point in Damian Lillard’s career getting Simons and Little for a proven player could end up as a steal.
