Seven prime candidates to be traded during the 2020 NBA offseason

Even though there has been some recent hesitation, to a certain extent, for a numerous amount of reasons, all indications continue to point to the NBA still moving forward with their plan to resume the 2019-20 season in July.

An adjusted NBA offseason is set to begin shortly after the season in October. Even though this will be an offseason unlike we’ve ever seen before, there could still be plenty of player movement via trade and free agency.

What could that look like? We explore seven players who could be prime candidates to be traded during the NBA’s 2020 offseason.

NBA trade candidates: JJ Redick, New Orleans Pelicans

The New Orleans Pelicans are one of the most talented teams, from top to bottom, on paper. Though, I believe this team will pivot at some point over the next year. That means they could elect to move some of their valuable veterans in an attempt to secure a few more assets.

If that ends up being the case, JJ Redick ends up being a prime candidate to be moved sooner rather than later. He’s an expiring contract after next season and could be sent to a contender that is looking for a shooting-specialist.
