NBA trade candidates: Kyle Lowry, Toronto Raptors

The Toronto Raptors are an interesting team to keep an eye on during the 2020 offseason. They could elect to stand pat. Or, they could elect to retool around Pascal Siakam. Perhaps that depends on how the team performs when the NBA returns to action next month.

Nevertheless, one player that they could move (especially if they don’t have plans to re-signing him during the summer of 2021) is Kyle Lowry. Even though Lowry is having somewhat of a bounce-back season (though, that might have to do more with the departure of Kawhi Leonard), he’s 34 years old and no longer in the prime of his career.

Still, after averaging nearly 20 points and eight assists per game during the 2019-20 season, there’s no question that he could still be a valuable asset for another contender that is looking for a veteran offensive threat.

You’d have to think that Lowry still has a few more productive seasons left in his career, but that might not be with the Raptors. And that’s OK.
