NBA: One x-factor for every team heading into the restart
Miami Heat
X-factor: Tyler Herro
The Miami Heat were one of the biggest surprises during the 2019-20 regular season before the hiatus. However, when injuries set in they clearly began to struggle. After four months off, the Heat are expected to be as healthy as they’ve been all season. And if Jimmy Butler can fix his jump shot, there’s no question that the Heat’s ceiling will be raised.
One potential x-factor that could emerge is Tyler Herro, who was rehabbing an injury when the season entered a hiatus. Herro is an interesting player that could emerge as a real game-changer in the Orlando bubble. Before his injury, Herro was averaging 13 points and four rebounds per game on 41 percent shooting from the field and 39 percent shooting from 3-point range.
Herro might not be the first player to jump off the screen when watching the Heat, but there is plenty to like about his game. He’s fearless, can score from every part of the court, and has made clutch baskets before. He’s certainly a player that will factor into how the Heat perform when the season restarts.
