We are going to see a much different Brooklyn Nets team

As teams continue to enter the bubble as the NBA prepares for the resumption of the 2019-20 season later this month, there will be a few teams that will have a different look at the restart. Perhaps the team that will look the most different is the Brooklyn Nets.

Right now, the Nets will be entering the bubble without Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, Spencer Dinwiddie, Taurean Prince, Wilson Chandler, and DeAndre Jordan. Between now and the start of the play, this list could still grow. Especially with so much unknown about how successfully the bubble will work.

Nevertheless, it’s safe to say that it’s difficult to know what to expect from any team, much less from a team that will be without so many key players like the Nets.

Brooklyn began to sign replacement players, with Jamal Crawford and Michael Beasley being at the top of their list. Both player are veteran pieces and could come in and fill a role on the offensive end. In fact, just last season, Crawford scored 50 points in a game.

Even though Beasley hasn’t played in the NBA this season, he played in 26 games last season with the Los Angeles Lakers. It should be noted that Beasley is still just 31 years old and has always been one of the most talented offensive players that the NBA has ever seen.

It’s tough to say what type of role both of these players will play for the Nets once the season restarts, but the fact that the Nets will be without three of their top five scorers from the 2019-20 season there could be an opportunity for one or even both of these players to play some meaningful minutes during the restart.

The Nets will be entering the bubble as the 7th seed in the Eastern Conference. The big question is whether they’ll be able to hold onto one of the top 8 seeds in the East after the eight “seeding” games. Even if they do, however, this is a much different Nets team since we last saw them.
