T-26. Washington Wizards: 6.5 points

  • 2001: Kwame Brown: -3 (bust with #1 pick)
  • 2010: John Wall: 7 (5x all-star, 1x 3rd team)
  • 2012: Bradley Beal: 2 (2x all-star)
  • 2013: Otto Porter: 0.5

The Washington Wizards draft stretch from 2000-09 is up there as one of the worst drafting streaks in NBA history. The best player they drafted in that stretch is probably Andray Blatche, but you could make a case for JaVale McGee or Swaggy P instead, it’s all about preference.

They absolutely got it right with Wall and Beal, but with no picks in 2016 or 2017 and Wall’s Achilles injury eating nearly 30 percent of their cap space, the Wizards are left without much talent and another rebuild waiting for them in a couple of years.

Here’s to hoping they find another John Wall and not another Kwame Brown when that time comes. He has small hands!
