Lakers, Bucks enter the bubble as favorites in our NBA Power Rankings

Teams have officially arrived in the NBA restart bubble and practices are well underway. Team scrimmages are expected to begin in a week and a half and the eight seeding games are expected to begin not soon after that.

By July 30, the NBA’s restart is expected to be in full swing and officially in motion. The hope is that there won’t be any major spread of COVID-19 within the bubble which would almost certainly put a halt to the NBA’s plans.

Assuming it won’t be the case, the NBA is going to decide a champion in the next three months. Twenty-two teams will enter the bubble with a shot to make the playoffs and ultimately win the championship. However, as we know all too well, not every team will be best-positioned to win the championship. Which teams are? That’s a good question.

While there’s an unprecedented element for the players and teams heading into the restart bubble, and as the NBA marches into another level of uncertainty with the resumption of play, we really don’t know how teams will look when basketball resumes.

In an attempt to predict what could happen in the bubble, let’s explore our NBA Power Rankings, the restart edition, as the league attempts to get back to some level of normalcy.
