3 important role players for the Milwaukee Bucks
It’s championship or bust at this point for the Milwaukee Bucks. Giannis Antetokounmpo has been on an absolute tear throughout this season as the Bucks are legitimate favorites to win the Eastern Conference heading into the NBA’s restart.
In order for this team to overcome the other great teams in the NBA, their role players will have to step up huge in key moments in order for the team to sneak away. Let’s look among three key role players that can contribute to Milwaukee’s postseason’s success.
Brook Lopez

Since his time in Milwaukee, Brook Lopez has emerged into one of the best stretch big men in the NBA. His ability to knock down shots from the 3-point line makes the Bucks a very dangerous team and it forces bigs to step away from under the basket. Lopez’s ability to defend the basket along with knocking down shots will give Milwaukee a much higher chance to make it out the East in the bubble.
Pat Connaughton
Pat Connaughton has been a huge piece for the Bucks over the past two years. His ability to be in the right spot at the right time allows him to have great performances. When he is on the floor, Connaughton is great at complimenting the stars in Giannis, Middleton, etc. It’s clear that Pat Connaughton will be a huge piece in the playoffs just as he was last year.
Kyle Korver
A man that has been on the stage on numerous occasions, Kyle Korver is a key player both on and off the court for Milwaukee’s success. Of course, Korver will be the lethal 3-point shooter that he has always been through the course of his career. But Korver will surely be a vocal leader in the locker room, guiding the younger players on how to stay prepared for key situations. It’s always great for a young championship contender to have a key veteran in the locker room. And Korver is certainly that guy for the team.
Obviously there are other role players on Milwaukee who will make a huge impact at some point in the postseason. But the three guys that were listed will change the dynamic of the game in their own respective way.
The Bucks have one of the deepest benches in the NBA and coach Mike Budenholzer will use every piece the best way he possibly can. Although Giannis will put up exceptional numbers in the playoffs, it will be interesting to watch the other guys step up big as well.
