12. Sacramento Kings – Devin Vassell, F, Florida State

The Sacramento Kings certainly have some talented players on its roster, but over the last few years have continuously failed to make the playoffs in the Western Conference. Led by De’Aaron Fox and Buddy Hield, this team has an intriguing young core. Adding to the wing position might be the next step for the team’s progression.

Devin Vassell is an interesting player at this point in the draft. He has great 3-and-D potential and could end up being one of the better prospects a few years down the line. He’s a good defensive player, something that will likely easily translate to the next level, and shot 40-plus percent from 3-point range in college.

Vassell might not be a star when he steps foot in the NBA, but he’s a potential rotation player that could come in and play a role almost immediately. The big question for the Kings is whether or not they view him as a fit in the system.
