13. New Orleans Pelicans – Tyrese Maxey, G, Kentucky
It’s hard not to like what the New Orleans Pelicans have built in just the last year. Zion Williamson is a beast in his own right, and his ceiling is limitless. The same could be said about Jaxson Hayes. Jrue Holiday is one of the most underrated players in the NBA and JJ Redick is still a deadly shooter.
Adding a player as Tyrese Maxey could really help this team on a number of fronts. For one, it could help them add insurance in the event that they move Holiday or Redick during the offseason, or even just add depth to the backcourt.
Maxey is coming off a season in which he averaged 14 points, four rebounds, and three assists per game on 43 percent shooting from the field. He’s a streaky scorer that could be a better pro than he was a college player. In the right system, Maxey could be a real game-changer.
