25. Oklahoma City Thunder (via Denver) – Jahmi’us Ramsey, G, Texas Tech
In the event that the Oklahoma City Thunder have to move on from Chris Paul during the offseason (via trade, likely), it would be wise for them to add some depth to its backcourt. A running mate (or future running mate) for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander would be smart. One potential target is Jahmi’us Ramsey.
As a freshman at Texas Tech, Ramsey averaged 15 points, four rebounds, two assists per game on 44 percent shooting from the field and 43 percent shooting 3-point range. He also has good size for the position.
There are concerns about his ability to play on-ball but in a role in which he would play next to a primary ball-handler, he could be fine. Although, in today’s NBA, I’m not sure there’s much of a market for a guard that can’t be assertive on the offensive end.
