2. Cleveland Cavaliers – James Wiseman, C, Memphis
With the second pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, the Cleveland Cavaliers could go any number of ways. However, with the uncertainty that follows the future of Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson, I wouldn’t be all that surprised if they went chalk and simply took the best player available (even if he happens to be a frontcourt player).
James Wiseman is a prospect that comes in with plenty of upside but also a player that is viewed extremely raw. During his short stint at Memphis, Wiseman flashed impressive ability on both ends of the floor. There have been questions about his work ethic but that’s a bit unfair for a player that didn’t even play one year in college.
Wiseman might not be a player that blossoms during his rookie season, but is certainly a player that could emerge as one of the best players from this draft in a couple of seasons.
