29. Los Angeles Lakers – Cassius Winston, G, Michigan State
If there’s one thing that we’ve learned from the NBA’s restart, it’s the fact that the Los Angeles Lakers need some insurance in the backcourt. Adding a point guard late in the first round would be a good move for the Lakers. One potential name to watch that would likely be available at this point ins Cassius Winston.
Winston is coming off a senior season in which he averaged 19 points, six assists, and three rebounds on 45 percent shooting from the field and 43 percent shooting from 3-point range. He’s a bit undersized as a guard, at 6-foot-1, but has proven to be a big-time player during his time at Michigan State.
In the end, this could all end up being just LeBron James‘ pick. As has been the case in the past, the Lakers could just select whoever LeBron wants. In the end, that could end up being Winston.
