The NBA needs the Phoenix Suns to make the playoffs

With a few days remaining of seeding games, there are four teams fighting for the final two spots in a Western Conference play-in playoff tournament. The Memphis Grizzlies, Portland Trail Blazers, Phoenix Suns, and San Antonio Spurs all still have hopes of making the play-in. However, the NBA badly needs the Suns to emerge with the final playoff spot in the West.

Labeled the hottest team in the NBA at the moment, the Suns are 7-0 in the restart bubble and are one win away from winning all their seeding games. Yet, there’s still a chance they could be on the outside looking in of the NBA’s West playoff play-in tournament. In order to qualify, they have to be the 8th or 9th seed after all the seeding games have been finalized.

For the Suns to qualify, they have to win their final game against the Dallas Mavericks and then would need either the Grizzlies or Blazers to lose their final seeding game. Memphis closes its seeding schedule with Milwaukee and Portland finishes with Brooklyn.

As we inch closer to the play-in tournament, we explore three reasons why the NBA needs Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns to make the playoffs in the Western Conference.
