Which Kemba Walker will we see in the playoffs?
To begin the NBA’s restart, Kemba Walker was initially on a minutes restriction after recovering from a lingering knee injury. However, as the seeding games went on, we saw the Celtics trust and use Kemba more and more. Entering the NBA playoffs, it doesn’t appear that Kemba will be limited in any way.
With that said, with the way he’s performed in the seeding games, there are questions as to what Kemba we’re going to see once the playoffs begin. During the six seeding games in which he played in, he wasn’t especially great.
Kemba averaged just 14 points and 3.5 assists during the restart. To put those numbers in context, Kemba averaged 20 points and five assists during the pre-hiatus regular season. If the Celtics are going to make a deep playoff run, they’re going need more of the pre-hiatus Kemba Walker than the one we saw in the restart.
