NBA Playoffs: Storylines, predictions for Boston Celtics vs. Philadelphia 76ers

Prediction: Celtics in 7

I actually like the Sixers more than the average person in this series, mostly because I believe Joel Embiid is going to absolutely dominate and believe the Sixers’ supporting cast is better than most will give them credit for. With that said, I can’t come to picking the Sixers to outright win the series against Boston.

In the end, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Kemba Walker, and Gordon Hayward will be too much for Embiid and his supporting cast to overcome. Brad Stevens is going to out-scheme Brett Brown and Boston’s depth is just going to overwhelm the Sixers when it matters most. Tatum will be a legit start by the end of this series, and this will spark the beginning of a deep playoff run for Boston.

I have a feeling this series will be a lot closer and competitive than some people believe and that the Sixers will have chances to win it. While Philadelphia might have the best individual player in the matchup, the Celtics’ overwhelming firepower will be too much in the end. Celtics in 7.
