1. Sacramento Kings – LaMelo Ball, G, Illawarra Hawks

Should the Sacramento Kings win the NBA Draft Lottery, I really have no earthly idea what this franchise would do. With that in mind, I had to go with the best player available. That’s LaMelo Ball. Even though the Kings are loaded in the backcourt, I have a feeling they wouldn’t pass this opportunity.

LaMelo Ball has star power, something the Kings lack, and he’s also a player that could play either guard position. If the Kings were ready, they could package Buddy Hield and trade him after the draft. Moving forward with a guard pairing of De’Aaron Fox and LaMelo Ball would be quite the dynamic duo.

Plus, if they so needed to, the Kings could always trade the pick. If there’s another young player out there that they believe would fit better with their current core, they could always trade down or even swap with another team that would ship them an even more established star.

There are a number of ways the Kings could go after landing the top overall pick in the draft and I’m sure not even this snake-bitten franchise could find a way to mess things up.
