How a playoff loss could set the offseason for the Jazz

While it may not seem that way on the surface, there is plenty at stake for both of these teams. Specifically for the Jazz, there has already been whispers that the team could give this roster a makeover during the offseason.

As would be a surprise to no one, Rudy Gobert is at the center of that narrative. And it’s 100 percent understandable.

Rudy Gobert is in line for a supermax extension this summer and is an expiring contract after the 2020-21 season. A decision has to be made and I can’t help but think that what happens in this first-round series against the Nuggets will play a role in how Utah approaches the offseason.
